The Wrangell Public School Board Regular Meeting originally scheduled for May 19 has been rescheduled to May 21, beginning at 7:00 PM in Evergreen Elementary School Room 101. A work session regarding student assessment results will precede the meeting at 6:00 PM.

The Wrangell Public School Board will hold a Special Board Meeting in Evergreen Elementary School Room 101, beginning at 8:30 AM, Friday, May 23, 2025. The purpose of this meeting is to select a Superintendent candidate.
You are cordially invited to a public interview and reception
to meet the candidates for the
2025-2026 Superintendent of Wrangell Public Schools
on Thursday, May 22, 2025, beginning at 6:00 PM
in the Wrangell High School Commons.
During the reception, there will be an opportunity to provide positive, written input to the School Board regarding the candidates.
Light refreshments will be served.
Although a quorum of the Board may be present,
no official action will be taken.
We are collecting potential questions from stakeholders to use during the public interview process. Please email your question to Mrs. Powell at kpowell@wpsd.us no later than 8:00 AM, Tuesday, May 20. Please note that due to the timeframe allowed, not all questions will be able to be asked. We will do our best to cover popular questions and there will be opportunity to visit with candidates one-on-one during the reception.
Just a reminder...
The Science Curriculum Committee has the two science curricula (HMH and Saavas) available for review at the District Office. Stakeholders are welcome to stop by and give input by Friday, May 16.
